My Spanish ‘adventura’ (plus exams)

So, I’m back from a lovely week in Spain. I managed to get sunburned on my last day there but it miraculously turned into a tan by Monday. Hmmm, interesting…

It was a perfect chance to try out my fabuloso Spanish speaking skills. But I didn’t bother. My theory is that if they understand English, what’s the point in straining myself? I said a few “thanks you’s” and “hello’s” (gracias and hola for the aspiring linguists out there). My diet consisted entirely of Caesar salads, paellas and Fantas. Also, the occasional soup here and there. Being the chocoholic that I am, I also bought three bars of Toblerone. I have decided that I now like that equally as much as Snickers. I am opposed to favoritism even in chocolate. Anyway…

The first few days we went to various touristy places (probably mentioned in my dad’s blog). The other days we stayed at the resort and for me that meant the jacuzzi. It became like a nightclub type of place. Only kids and teens hung out there. I met some English people, some American and some Spanish. Plus, I acquired two new little sisters. A five year-old sweetie called Honey – that is really her name. So cute! The other girl was called Georgina but I couldn’t be bothered with such a long name. I called her George and she was 6. I met three other girls who are now my email buddies.

Good week, all in all.

On to exams, which are going on this week at my school. I will keep this bit very short as I do not want you all to fall asleep. I am confident of my language results being good and very doubtful about computers and music. I usually finish the exams before time is up and read my books or doodle. Just two more days of exams to go! YAY!
